Caution: Coronavirus COVID-19!
What is coronavirus?
Coronaviruses — are a large family of special respiratory viruses that infect humans and some animals. The name is associated with structural features: the virus resembles a corona under a microscope. In humans, these pathogens can cause a number of diseases - from mild forms of ARVI to severe acute respiratory syndrome.
What is the COVID-19?
This is a new coronavirus that appeared in December 2019 in the Chinese city of Wuhan. The most dangerous manifestation of a new infection is rapidly advancing respiratory complications (pneumonia, or colloquially “inflammation of the lungs”).
How is coronavirus
spread and transmitted?
Now you can get infected from a sick person, including the incubation period, when there are no symptoms.
The virus is transmitted predominantly by airborne transmission: during sneezing, coughing or talking when saliva microparticles or nasal secretions get on the mucous membrane. The virus settles on the mucosa and fixes on it. A “contact” method of infection is possible as well: there is a chance to be infected using household items. Those who are in close contact with patients, including medical staff, are especially at risk.

Measures recommended by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation
For now, the effectiveness of any drugs acting specifically on coronavirus has not been proven. Only antipyretic, vasoconstrictors and the use of saline solutions for washing the nose are recommended. The only thing we can do to avoid infection is to adhere to simple preventive measures and constantly irrigate the nose with sea water to remove viruses, moisturize the mucosa and saturate it with useful microelements.
